With the British election just four weeks away, the major parties have launched their manifestos but the polls reveal that everything is still up for grabs for the major parties.

The five party leaders who are the challengers in next month's General Election will go head-to-head later - with the absent David Cameron and Nick Clegg hitting the campaign trail instead.

Channel 4 News anchor Jon Snow spoke to Newstalk Breakfast this morning ahead of the debate tonight. He told presenter Chris Donoghue that at this stage, he isn't sure who will be the next Prime Minister.

"Nobody knows, nothing really has shifted at all except minor, very minor little slippage possibly for UKIP. But in all honesty, we're almost where we were when we began."

He also went on to say that David Cameron was performing like a "seasoned PR operative" and that Ed Miliband "performed better than many people expected".

Ahead of tonight, he said that Nicola Sturgeon is a "formidable debater" who is doing very well in Scotland but insisted that Miliband and Cameron were the ones to watch in the election generally.
