The morning papers this morning were all dominated by the sad story of Karen Buckley, the Irish student who disappeared in the early hours of Sunday morning. Yesterday, police confirmed remains found at a farm north of Glasgow were the missing student.

The Irish Times leads with this story and the fact that a 21-year-old man is due in court this morning in connection with her death.

The Irish Independent also leads with the Karen Buckley story but talks about how she was loved by her family and friends. They also highlight Labour's plans to issue grants to first-time buyers.

The Irish Examiner features the headline "we are absolutely heartbroken", a quote from the parents of Karen Buckley.

The tabloids all lead with the Karen Buckley story with the detail of a knife found near the suspect's flat and when her friends raised the alarm.

Chris highlighted a story about the trawler off the Irish coast which was nearly sunk by a submarine but whose submarine was it?

Shane discussed a report that dog owners love their pets just as much as they love their children.

The pair also talked about when the Irish leave the nest. The average age for people leaving the home is 25 in Ireland and the men are worse than women, men at 26 and women at 24.
