We’ve just announced details of our new winter schedule.
Here are the highlights:
- A complete revamp of the Saturday morning and early afternoon programmes. We’ll be welcoming Síle Seoige as the latest addition to the Newstalk team. She will present a two hour programme every Saturday afternoon from noon until 2 pm, commencing October 23rd.
- George Hook will present a new show on Saturday mornings from 10am – midday, which will review stories from during the week on Newstalk and beyond, and take the listener on a journey remembering some of the most momentous events in our history.
- We’re also introducing ‘Under the Covers with Henry McKean’ (9am – 10am Saturday) will see Henry take listeners inside his world, as he gives his take on the week’s big stories and presents tales of his adventures countrywide.
- In the weekday schedule, Damien Kiberd will continue on as presenter of a new look ‘Lunchtime’ show which will include a fast paced news roundup between 1pm and 1.30pm, presented live from Cork by Newstalk’s Correspondent, Jonathan Healy.
- And, ‘Moncrieff’ with Sean Moncrieff will now start at the earlier time of 1.30pm and broadcast till 4.30pm.
The new weekday changes commence on Wednesday 13th October with the new weekend schedule launching on Saturday October 23rd.
