Monaghan crash victims to be laid to rest

The funerals take place today of two of the victims of Monday’s road crash in Co Monaghan.

Roisin Connolly and her unborn child, Paul Carroll and Glen Curtis were all killed in the three car collision on the N2 near Carrickmacross.

ra39 year old Roisin Connolly, a native of Donegal but living in Dublin, was the front seat passenger in a car being driven by her husband on Monday afternoon when they crashed head on into a BMW.

She died along with her unborn daughter Catherine.

Four men were in the BMW – two of them, close friends Paul Carroll of Kingscourt, Co Meath and Glen Curtis of Nobber, Co Meath – were killed and the other two were injured, one seriously.

27 year old Glen Curtis was buried yesterday.

Paul Carroll, also 27, will be buried today after 11 o’clock mass at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Kingscourt.

And Roisin Connolly and Catherine will be laid to rest after 1 o’clock mass in St. Mary’s Church, Fanavolty, Fanad, Co. Donegal.
