Nearly 3,000 to be affected by Aer Lingus dispute

Thousands of Aer Lingus passengers face disruption today as the row over the introduction of new rosters continues.

34 flights have been cancelled today from Dublin to the UK and continental Europe affecting 2,700 people.

Cabin crew are embroiled in a row with management over the introduction of a new rostering system for over 3 months.

Up until late yesterday evening 82 cabin crew staff had been removed from their duties and the Aer Lingus payroll for refusing to co-operate with the new system.

Industry Correspondent with the Irish Times Martin Wall says there is no sign of any resolution to this row.
