The Tánaiste says the government is to launch a formal protest with Britain over the failure to hold a full inquiry into the murder of Belfast solicitor Pat Finucane.
Eamon Gilmore has met members of the Finucane family in Dublin this afternoon.
It comes after the family met the British Prime Minister and Northern Ireland Secretary Tuesday.
Mr. Finucane was shot by loyalist paramilitaries at his home in 1989.
The Tánaiste pledged to continue their fight for a full inquiry into the death which formed part of the Weston Park Agreement between the two governments.
Mr. Gilmore says this issue will be followed up by the government.
