Lawyers for Ian Bailey will indicate today whether they intend to appeal an order for his extradition to France.
The French authorities issued the warrant for the purpose of prosecuting the 53-year-old journalist for the murder of film producer Sophie Toscan du Plantier in West Cork.
The High Court has given the go-ahead for his surrender to France.
However Mr. Justice Michael Peart put a stay on the order until today to allow his lawyers consider the ruling and decide whether to appeal to the Supreme Court.
Bailey has always denied any involvement in the killing of the film producer who was found beaten to death near her holiday home in Schull before Christmas in 1996.
Following a garda investigation the DPP decided not to press charges against the journalist and his legal team has fought the European Arrest Warrant arguing that his surrender to France in the circumstances would be an insult to justice.
