Thousands of air passengers are facing lengthy delays amid security tensions in the wake of the attempted terror threat on Christmas Day.
President Obama’s now demanding a review of US security after a man was charged in connection with the failed Detroit bomb attack.
The suspect, Umar Abdul-mutallab, was allowed to fly, despite being on a ‘watch-list’ used to spot potential terror suspects – he’s due in court later today.
There was a second security breach yesterday after a Nigerian man was arrested on the same route at Detroit airport.
Delays of up to three hours are being reported at airports worldwide, although delays at Dublin Airport are understood to be minimal.
