Newly filed accounts from insurance group Quinn show its profit falling by more than half to €86 million last year.

The number of claims filed was up 27%.

This cost of the company €801 million and is also eating into premium income.

The Fermanagh-based company was formed in 1973 and employs over 8,000 people in various locations throughout Europe.
