Sir Elton John is hoping to leave hospital today after being struck down by E-coli.

The 62-year old singer has had to cancel several concerts – but aims to rejoin Billy Joel on tour in the US later this month.

Sir Elton was admitted on Friday suffering stomach cramps and vomiting – he also had flu.

The singer has cancelled five UK and Ireland concerts – and three in the US with Joel.
