Despite a disappointing performance on Saturday’s X Factor, it’s claimed Danyl Johnson may have won the public poll.

The results emerged from a phoneline which allows fans to vote for free if they listen to an advert.

Ten thousand votes were cast using the service.

Danyl got 35%, twins John and Edward came second and Olly Murs came third.
