U2 have played a spectacular mini-concert in the German capital – ahead of the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.

The band performed six songs at the historic Brandenburg Gate in front of 10 thousand people.

It kicked off the Europe Music Awards broadcast by MTV Networks International – where the band won Best Live Act.
