Farmers go to the polls

Farmers will start going to the polls today to elect a new president to succeed Padraig Walshe as head of the Irish Farmers Association.

Almost 90,000 IFA members will have the chance to vote at local branch meetings in the coming fortnight.

The result of the election will be revealed at a count in Dublin on December 21st.
