Govt aid of 10m for flood victims
The Social and Family Affairs Minister Mary Hanafin has given details of the 10 million Euro hardship fund set up for flood victims.
The relief will be administered by local Community Welfare Services and will be focused on damage to a person’s home and basic contents.
Funds won’t be given for losses covered by insurance – commercial and business losses will not qualify for humanitarian assistance.
