Last ten years warmest on record
The first decade of the 21st century is set to be the warmest on record.
Thats according to the World Meteorological Organisation which said the years 2000 to 2009 were warmer than the 1990′s which were, in turn, warmer than the 1980′s.
It ranks this year as the fifth warmest since 1850.
However addressing the climate summit in Copenhagen, the World Met Organisation said it would not be making predictions for next years in terms of whether temperatures would continue to rise in the near term.
