Gerry Adams’ brother Liam has handed himself into gardai.
He’s wanted for questioning in the North in connection with allegations he abused his daughter in the late 1970s.
His brother, Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams had appealed to him to give himself up for questioning at the weekend.
The appeal followed a UTV documnetary in which Aine Tyrell, Liam Adams’ daughter alleged that he had abused her as a child.
The PSNI is now expected to seek a European arrest warrant to allow them to take Liam Adams into custody for questioning.
