Louisiana’s declared a state of emergency as it braces itself for the arrival of Hurricane Ida.
It’s been upgraded to a category 2 storm, with 100-mile-an-hour winds as it approaches the Gulf of Mexico.
Mudslides and flooding have already killed at least 91 people in El Salvador as the storm swept past.
