The Minister for Finance has today announced the names of the nine members of the NAMA Board.
The chairman of the board will be Frank Daly, a former head of the Revenue Commissioners, who has most recently worked as public interest director at Anglo Irish Bank.
Mr Daly will now step aside from his position at Anglo.
Announcing the appointments, Minister Brian Lenihan aid he was satisfied that the right people had been chosen to steer NAMA in restoring stablility to the financial system.
The other board members are: Eilish Finan, Michael Connolly, Peter Stewart, Brian McEnery and Willie Soffe.
Frank Daly was Chairman of the Revenue Commissioners from March 2002 to March 2008. He was formerly Accountant General of Revenue and Head of Strategic and Business Planning.
Eilish Finan is an independent Consultant and Director in various Financial Services Industry sectors, as well as the former CFO of AIG Global Investments.
Michael Connolly is a former member of Bank of Ireland senior management team and member of Financial Services Ombudsman Council.
Peter Stewart is Managing Director of O’Donovan Stewart & Company – firm of chartered accountants and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
Brian McEnery is senior partner in Horwath Bastow Charleton specialising in corporate finance and Corporate Recovery – and has experience in dealing with the Corporate Enforcement and ODCE aspects of insolvency cases.
Willie Soffe is Chairman of the Dublin Transportation Office and former County Manager of Fingal County Council.
