Numbers of aids cases here on the rise
405 people were diagnosed with HIV last year, the highest number since records began.
And figures for the first six months of the year show the trend is continuing, with 210 new cases diagnosed.
The new figures are being published today, as people around the world come together to mark world AID’s day.
Here at home, there’s many events planned, among them a workshop in Dublin to help young people learn more about the disease.
