The Irish Red Cross is to begin distributing money to victims of flooding.
They’re almost on track to raise one million euro for flood victims and are appealing to people affected by the devastating flooding to come forward.
John Roycroft, Secretary-General of the Irish Red Cross says “once we have satisfied ourselves that a household has suffered a flood event they will be entitled to a sum of money. The precise sum of money will be determined on the basis of the application. The application is very simple and very straight forward. This is non-means tested. It’s independent of any other compensation or assistance and it’s a humanitarian jesture.”
