May 2nd, 2009, 4:35 pm

Is Anyone listening?
May 2nd 2009 (repeated May 3 rd)
Producer: Grey Heron Media

In 2001, Kilfinane National School in Co. Limerick received a letter from the then Education Minister Michael Woods granting approval for a new school on a greenfield site. Seven years and four ministers later, the site contains only thistles. Meanwhile the students attend an overcrowded school that was last refurbished 100 years ago. So does this rural community have the strength to find its voice, and is anyone listening?
