  • The HSE Counselling Service Helpdesk - freephone 1800 670 700 between the hours of 8am and 2am. Helpdesk advisors, who are trained counsellors, will be on hand to take calls and help people to decide which service is the most appropriate one for their needs.
  • Faoiseamh, the Diocesan funded counselling referral service – freephone 1800 331 234. The helpline will be open:
    Monday to Friday 8am to 2am
    Saturday and Sunday 11am to 2am

  • Connect, the National Adults Counselling Service, is to open until 12.30am tonight and tomorrow night following today’s launch of the Dublin Diocesean Report. The service provides telephone based counselling to survivors of abuse at freephone 1800 477 477 from the Republic of Ireland and 00800 477 477 77 from Northern Ireland. The normal opening hours for the service is from 6pm to 10pm Wednesday to Sunday. Further additional hours may be added over the weekend based on demand for the service. www.connectcounselling.ie.
  • Dublin Rape Crisis Centre – open 24 hours a day 1800 77 88 88.
  • Samaritans – open 24 hours a day 1850 609 090.
  • One in Four provides support and resources for women and men who have experienced sexual abuse - 01 6624 070.

Anyone who wants to report abuse can do so by contacting the gardaí or their local HSE Social Services/Work office.
