Best Local 2009 Winner: The Boothouse Bar in Cork

In association with the Vintners’ Federation of Ireland (VFI) The Boothouse Bar in Cork has won the title of Newstalk Best Local 2009.

After weeks of Newstalk listeners voting, four provincial finalists were announced:

Connaught: Kelly’s Bar, Strandhill, Co. Sligo

Leinster: Kavanaghs, Portlaoise, Co. Laois

Munster: The Boothouse Bar, Whites Cross, Co. Cork

Ulster: Glencar Inn, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal

Listeners have been voting for their favourite finalist all week and the votes have finally been counted and tallied. The Boothouse Bar in Cork was announced as the overall winner today on Moncrieff.
