George has released an album for Christmas, George Hook Duets featuring solo performances and duets with Irish musical talent such as Dana, Jack L, Brian Kennedy and Marc Roberts, as well as pals Brent Pope and Johnny Giles.
It’s an ideal stocking filler for Christmas and most importantly, all proceeds go to a good cause – the Comber charity, of which George is a patron.
Comber was established by Irish volunteers in 1992 in response to media coverage of the appalling conditions in orphanages in Romania. During the 1990s Comber completely refurbished four orphanages and provided over 500 multi disciplinary Irish volunteers to work with Romanian children and their carers. Currently the charity is actively supporting the closure of all remaining adult institutions in Giurgiu County and the provision of appropriate homes in the community for those still living in care.
