On 25 August 2009, Senator Edward Moore Kennedy passed away after a year long battle with a malignant brain tumor. First elected to the Senate in November 1962, by the time of his death, Kennedy was the third longest-serving senator in US history.
So just how will Massachusetts replace the Lion of the Senate?
