City look to end 28 year drought…

The second two Carling Cup quarter finals take place tonight with Manchester City bidding to reach the last 4 of the competition for the first time in 28 years.

The Eastlands outfit will play host to Arsenal’s young guns who have impressed once again in this season’s tournament.

Both sides are looking to put their current premier league form behind them heading into tonight’s game…City are in a dreadful run of 7 consecutive draws in the Premier League, a sequence of results which has seen them slip way off the pace set by Chelsea at the top…

Arsenal are also hoping to bounce back to form, Sunday’s mauling at the hands of Chelsea coming on the back of their defeat to Sunderland the previous week.

Elsewhere tonight Chelsea visit Blackburn looking to maintain their assault on all four trophy fronts this season.
