Football: Delaney – Keane is ‘sad’
After Roy Keane’s outburst on Friday about the FAI, chief executive John Delaney has described the Corkman’s rant as ‘sad’ and urged the Ipswich manager to ‘move on’.
When asked about his thoughts on Thierry Henry’s midweek handball, Keane said ‘what goes around comes around’.
Keanes bad feelings toward the FAI stem from the fallout of the 2002 World Cup when he complained that the facilities were sub-standard for an international team.
Delaney hit back, telling Sky Sports News: ‘Its just a side-show. Weve all moved on from Saipan Niall Quinn, Mick McCarthy, the FAI and all the players but it seems to me that he hasnt.’
