Soccer – Late Nolan winner puts Newcastle top

A late Kevin Nolan goal gave Newcastle a 2-1 victory over Doncaster at St. James Park today. The result puts the Magpies one-point clear at the top of the English Championship table.

Cardiff overtook West Brom into second place following a 4-3 win at Sheffield United, while Ipswich remain bottom after another 1-all draw (this time at Plymouth).
