Westwood takes Dubai World Championship and Order of Merit

Lee Westwood has won the Dubai World Championship, which also means he’s
claimed the inaugural Race to Dubai title.

Westwood won the Dubai World Championship, finishing the tournament on 23 under, five clear of Ross McGowan and 8 clear of Ireland’s Rory McIlroy.

McIlroy was bidding to become the youngest winner since a young man called Severiano Ballesteros became the European number one, but needed to win in Dubai.
