Motorists are being advised to drive with extreme care following heavy frost in many places overnight.
The adverse conditions are affecting Bus Eireann services for the third day running – with the southwest and midwest hardest hit.
All services in Killorglin are cancelled, as well as services from Doolin to Galway and Limerick, Doonbeg to Ennis, Galbally to Limerick, and Kenmare to Killarney.
Joan Blackburn from Met Eireann says there’s another big chill in store tonight.
“This evening and tonight…some rain along the east coast could fall as snow inland in eastern coastal counties for a time – but that all pushing away” she said.
“Zub-zero night time temperatures once again tonight; ranging probably from -1 to -7, maybe -8 degrees” she added.
