The Finance Minister’s facing a call to clarify and tighten up on the guidelines surrounding people leaving their posts in the government and state agencies.
It follows a series of controversies surrounding so called golden handshakes at the state training agency Fas.
The latest focusses on former Director General John Lynch who received a deal equivalent to someone who had 40 years service, instead of his 17 years, when he left the job.
Chairman of the Dail’s Public Accounts Committee Bernard Allen told Breakfast here on Newstalk that they’ve written to Minister Brian Lenihan outlining their concerns.
