Family of missing Cork man begin search

Nov 13th, 2009, 2:09 pm

The family of a Cork student missing after a night out have appealed for the public’s help in finding him.

Briain O’Thuama was last seen outside McDonalds on Daunts Square in the city at 1:30am on Thursday morning.

The 19 year old arts student had been at a nearby nightclub with friends in the hours before he went missing.

His brother Colemain says they’re worried for his well being – as his disappearance is totally out of character.

“We’re extremely concerned about him so we’re out and we’re searching around Cork city just in case we might see him somewhere” he said.

“You just wouldn’t know – and we’re just trying to keep ourselves occupied as well and just try to find him”.

Briain is described as being 6 foot in height, of thin build with medium length brown hair.

When last seen, he was wearing grey top, combats and “Van” shoes.
