The Irish Farmers Association is accusing the government of being “in denial” about the crisis in farm incomes.

The IFA says that following a series of cutbacks, it expects average annual farm income to fall to just 13,000 Euro for 2009.

Ahead of social partnership talks with the Taoiseach and Agriculture Minister today, the IFA President Padraig Walshe says farmers have taken enough pain.
