Four people – including two teenage girls – are being questioned about the murder of a man in Limerick last night.
The man – in his mid 20′s – was shot a number of times at a caravan at Beary’s Cross at around 9:30pm.
A 19 year old man, a 38 year old woman and the two teenagers were detained at around 11pm last night.
They’re being questioned at Roxboro Road and Henry Street Garda Stations.
David Hurley of the Limerick Leader says Gardaí are investigating the possibility that the killing may be linked to a local dispute.
“The scene of last night’s shooting has been sealed off” he said.
“The State Pathologists Office has been alerted and a post mortem examination will be conducted today”.
“Obviously, a full scale murder investigation is now underway” he added.
