Gardai seize 7000 swords
Gardai have seized around 7000 swords and a number of air-rifles in an operation in Dublin.
The weaponry was recovered during a series of raids in the north inner city on Monday.
It was a planned operation carried out by members of the Garda national Crime Prevention Unit assisted by the District Detective Unit , the Divisional Crime Task Force, and the Neighbourhood Policing Unit.
The haul, which was recovered from a single address, included approximately 7,000 swords of different length and specification , and a number of air rifles.
Two men in their 20′s were questioned at Dublin’s Bridewell garda station but have since been released withougt charge, and a file is being sent to the DPP.
