Barack Obama says time is running out for diplomacy to resolve the crisis over Iran’s nuclear programme.

The US President was speaking after talks with the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.

President Obama has described a UN-brokered deal meant to allay suspicions over Iran’s nuclear programme as a creative and constructive approach which Iran had unfortunately been unable to say yes to.

The Russian President said he wanted to see a transparent nuclear programme rather than one which causes others’ concern.
