Avatar has cleaned up at the Golden Globe Awards.

The 3D Sci-fi epic won the top prizes of best film and best director – making it the firm favourite for Oscar success later in the year.

The film – which is also tipped to become the highest grossing of all time – is set on the alien planet of Pandora.
