Aer Lingus passenger numbers dropped in January compared to the same month last year.

Flight cancellations due to the freezing weather severely affected its schedule during the month.

Total flight bookings of 665,000 were ahead of January 2009 – but just under 5% of those passengers either failed to make their flights or were hit by cancellations.
