The European Central Bank has welcomed measures by Greece to cut its public deficit – but says the country needs even more reform.

Athens has already started draconian measures leading to street protests.

In the latest move – taxes on goods, tobacco and alcohol have all been raised
and public sector holiday allowances slashed.
