Funding announced for job creation programme

Aug 9th, 2010, 9:31 am

The Minister for Enterprise Batt O’Keefe has announced funding to the tune of €37 million as part of the job creation programme by the government.

The money will be invested in college research centres who will team up with businesses to work on new products and create high-quality jobs.

The programme is a joint initiative between Enterprise Ireland and IDA Ireland.

The nano-technology centre at UCC and the Bio-energy centre at NUI Galway are just 2 of the college research teams to benefit from the funding.
