Lehman examiner finds management and auditor negligence

Mar 12th, 2010, 10:36 am

Senior management at failed US investment bank Lehman Brothers massaged the company’s accounts to conceal the true state of its finances from investors.

That’s according to the findings of a court-appointed examiner.

The report also found sufficient evidence of negligence by Lehman Brothers auditors Ernst and Young to support a claim by Lehman for professional malpractice.
