Microsoft will ask its European customers if they want to use an internet browser other than the company’s default one today.

Windows users will be offered the choice as part of a deal Microsoft has
reached with the European Commission after the company was accused of taking advantage of its market position.

A pop-up window will allow customers to either stick with Microsoft’s Internet
Explorer – or choose from 12 rival programmes.
