Minister announces 300 jobs for Cork

Apr 12th, 2010, 12:08 pm

Abtran has announced 300 new jobs at it’s facility in Cork, which will come on stream over the next 3 years.

It’s part of a €3.5 million investment, supported by Enterprise Ireland.

Abtran already employs 1,000 people – and is the largest company providing clients with business process services in the country.

Announcing the investment, Enterprise Minister Batt O’Keeffe told Cork’s RedFM that it’s in-keeping with the Government’s vision for a smart economy.

“An indigenous Irish company working and being supported by Enterprise Ireland, looking at innovation as part of how it can ensure that it’s client base will get greater efficiency, cost-reductions in it’s activities, and is the ideal product that we see as selling into Ireland and indeed internationally” he added.
