Bookmaker Paddy Power has spent €8.5 million to boost its stake in Australian bookmaker Sportsbet.

This will bring it’s ownership in the Australian company to just under 61%.

The Irish bookie bought a majority stake in the business last year and has now added an extra 9.8% to its shareholding.
