Jan 15th, 2010, 11:22 am

Aer Lingus has welcomed news that their pilots have accepted a cost cutting deal at the airline.

76 pilots will lose their jobs and others will have their pay cut by 10% in order to save the company €30 million.

Further talks on the finer details have yet to take place.

In a statement this morning, Aer Lingus said it’s a constructive step forward for their shareholders and employees, and they look forward to implementing the plan immediately once outstanding issues are resolved.
