Steve Davis has lived to fight another day after taking the final two frames from the second session of his quarter-final at the World Snooker Championships. The 52-year-old’s fairytale romp through this year’s tournament appeared to be over when Neil Robertson moved into a 12 frames to two lead in their best-of 25 match. However, Davis rallied to finish the session trailing by 12 frames to four. Northern Ireland’s Mark Allen and Scotland’s Grame Dott will resume their match tied on eight frames apiece. Earlier, Ronnie O’Sullivan and Mark Selby finished their opening session on four frames apiece while Shaun Murphy leads Ali Carter 5-3.
