Gardai in Co. Cork have seized 15,000 euro worth of cannabis and cannabis products including cannabis cookies, cannabis butter and cannabis gin.

Drugs Squad Detectives from Mallow made the surprising discovery when they raided a house in the Glantane area some four miles from the North Cork town early on Saturday morning.

A man in his late 40s was arrested and questioned under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

He has since been released without charge and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
