Filming on the TV show ’24′ has been suspended so its star and executive producer Kiefer Sutherland can have surgery.

The nature of the actor’s illness isn’t clear, although reports in the US claim he has a ruptured cyst.

Around six weeks of production remains on the current series, although bosses
at Fox say it shouldn’t disrupt episodes appearing on our screens.
