Guns N' Roses fans furious after singer storms off

Sep 2nd, 2010, 10:01 am

Guns N’ Roses came under fire from their own fans at their Dublin concert last night.

The crowd was already angry because of a late beginning to the show at the O2 and a number of items were thrown at them from the crowd.

After 4 songs lead singer Axl Rose stormed offstage.

Organisers apologised for the problem saying there were some technical difficulties and even promoter Denis Desmond appealed for calm in the crowd.

Ronan McGreevy of the Irish Times was there and described what happened next.

“Then the houselights came on – which is the cue for many people, including myself, to leave” he said.

“We walked down and the crowds were all leaving and we assumed it was over”.

“Then I went back to the office…and hearing on Twitter and another radio station that he was back”.

“So I came back and he was still playing and he played until 1:50am” he added.
