Gardai in Waterford are still questioning four people in connection with an alleged plot to kill a Swedish cartoonist.
Lars Vilks has been threatened over his drawing depicting the Prophet Mohammad with the body of a dog.
On Tuesday Gardai in Waterford and Cork arrested seven people as part on an International investigation into alleged death threats against Mr Vilks.
The four men and three women were taken in for questioning and a number of premises were searched.
Documents, computers and mobile phones were seized.
Last night three people – a man and two women – were released without charge and Gardai say a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The four others are still being detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act.
